2022 Viviane Gerardu Award Winner
The story opens in a dystopian future in the year 79n868E. From this speculative fiction story, the writer surprisingly and successfully shifts to a present-day romance that spans a lifetime. Told from both first person and third person points of view, the writer creates a distinctly relatable and sympathetic main character who expresses his untold love for his future wife through an unfinished piece of fiction.
This narrative with a ‘story within a story’ is ambitious in its structure and premise, showing potential for further development.
